Halifax High Interest Current Account

Different rates apply to customers who do not pay at least £1,000 into their Halifax High Interest Current Account each month.

If you pay at least £1000 into your account each month you will automatically qualify for higher interest rates on your balance when it is in credit and lower interest charged on arranged overdrafts. If you pay in less than £1000 a month for two or more months in a row you will lose these interest rates until you pay in at least £1000 a month for three months in a row.

Halifax moneyback Current Account

This account is no longer available to new customers.

Moneyback is only available on debit card purchases.  'Debit card purchases' means goods and services bought using the card or card account number.  The following debit card transactions do not qualify for moneyback - obtaining cash, foreign currency or traveller's cheques, the settlement of credit card bills, wire transfers of money orders, the purchase of stocks and shares.

To qualify for moneyback, you must make monthly payments of at least £1,000 into your moneyback Current Account.  If you miss two or more consecutive monthly payments of at least £1,000, you will not qualify for moneyback.  If after that you pay at least £1,000 per month for three consecutive months into your moneyback Current Account, you will re-qualify for moneyback on debit card purchases made after the start of the fourth month.  Moneyback is paid into your moneyback Current Account on each anniversary of account opening, or each anniversary of the date you re-qualified for moneyback, whichever is applicable.
